Zin has no account, no sign-in, and no analytics. Your prayer times are worked out on your phone. The short version is that there is almost nothing to write about here, and the rest of this page says so in detail.

What the app collects

  • Approximate location (used on-device to calculate prayer times; never sent to our servers)
  • Subscription state and purchase receipts (via RevenueCat)

Location

Prayer times depend on where you are, so Zin asks iOS for your approximate location. That coordinate is used on the device to calculate the five daily times and the Qibla direction. It is not sent to us, it is not sent to anyone else, and it is not stored anywhere outside your phone. If you decline the permission, you can still set a city by hand.

Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple. To know whether your subscription is active, Zin uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier and your App Store receipt. RevenueCat never receives your name, your email, or your location. Apple's own receipt handling is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

What the app does not do

  • No advertising, and no ad identifiers.
  • No tracking across apps or websites, and no data sold or shared with brokers.
  • No account, so there is no profile to build.
  • No analytics or crash reporting SDK.

  • Apple (App Store purchases and receipts)

Children

Zin is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your data, your call

Because nothing is stored on our side, deleting the app removes everything Zin kept. If you want your RevenueCat subscription record erased, write to us and we will do it.

Changes

If the app starts collecting something new, this page changes first and the date at the top moves with it.
